University of Alaska Refuse & Recycling Enclosures

This project started in 2009 as a review of the refuse and recycling program at the University of Alaska Southeast's, Student Housing. The goal is replacement of failing trash enclosures which do not respond to current needs for recycling and waste management.

The design for a standard structure addresses current and future needs with a system of permanent and durable materials. Construction documents have been completed and the first structure will be built in the summer of 2012.
